Dr. Johnson is an Army brat from Memphis.  She graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine (MSU CVM) and completed her internship at University of Tennessee Knoxville.  She completed her Oncology residency at the University of Missouri and became an ACVIM Diplomate in 2007.  She remained on faculty as a Clinical Instructor for a couple of years before returning to Mississippi State as an Associate Professor. 

Following her stint at MSU CVM, she joined a specialty practice in Nashville, TN. In 2017, she needed a new “why”, a new passion if you will, and she started her own business, PetCancerConsulting which includes telemedicine and a busy locum practice.    

When off duty, she enjoys SEC sports, especially football, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
