Grew up in Salem, VA, and has lived in the Roanoke Valley for much of her life. She attended Hollins University and graduated with B.A. degrees in Mathematics and Biology in 2000. After doing research for several years she decided to pursue her DVM at the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 2006. Dr. Snead then practiced equine medicine for 6 years before deciding to make a change to small animal medicine. She joined the Vinton Veterinary team in November 2013. Her professional interests include preventative care and internal medicine. Outside of work Dr. Snead enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her three dogs, and riding her horse.
